tailgating

so i was riding in my friend’s car yesterday and noticed that she had an ipod… the way the ipod connected to her car’s stereo system was through this “itrip” thinger. after she told me how it worked, i was thoroughly amused! it apparently broadcasts FM waves so that if you tune your radio to the station it’s set up for, you’re listening off your ipod!

i really really wanted her to drop me off at my house so i could pick up jasper and then tail her reaaaally closely on the road to see if i couldn’t pick up her ipod radio station.

i never knew there was such technology!! if i ever get an ipod, i’m going to get one of those itrips… and then broadcast MC Hammer- Can’t Touch This for all the cars near me!

Yeah, those things are kinda cool, but they only go something like 10 feet, and that’s if there aren’t any other stations on that frequency. I’ve been looking at the c.crane one which supposedly can transmit up to 100 feet :p

I have one but it’s hard because you have to position your ipod in the right place which is inevitably the place from which it will slide most easily. So, I just plug mine into my tape adapter that I have for my XM.
