MORE BUGS!!

another bug was in the house yesterday! i came home and went down to my room for a bit, came back upstairs, started popping popcorn, went down to the living room to turn on the tv, came back upstairs to get the popcorn, went back down to the living room… was going to come back up the stairs to get some napkins… when there it was! right there on the steps i had walked up/down multiple times!!

bah! it’s the same jumping bug that we spent 30 minutes trying to kill last time!! so i started to look around for something to hit him with. unfortunately, trash was just taken out that morning so there wasnt any junk mail to use!! after searching my room (climbed over the railing in the dining room into the living room just to avoid the bug), i sat waiting in the dining room for julie or tina to get home. (nuts, talida went home to texas for the weekend)

when julie came home, she also tried to find something to hit the bug with. but she couldn’t find anything either. but ever the resourceful person, she pulled a macgyver! using a plastic cup, a postcard, saran wrap, and tape… she managed to catch the bug!

i was pretty useless in the bug catching :-( i can’t get too close to a live bug for very long. even after the bug was in the cup, i couldn’t be near it if it jumped. it just freaks me out… i don’t mind whacking them a million times until they die, but i can’t see them hopping around.

    ahhh, why are there so many bugs?? haha, good job with the cup thing. :P seriously, let’s fumigate!

    ooh, my sister used that same tactic once! and then she tried to fumigate the sucker by sticking a straw in the top and spraying raid in. needless to say, that didn’t work the way we planned and the bug escaped. haha :)

    dudes! you can’t use shoes to kill bugs because the shoes are forever tainted and you can’t wear them ever again! … maybe it’s the way i kill the bugs. i freak out and keep whacking it until i’m sure the bug is dead… so it gets quite messy :-( so i don’t think i’d want the shoes afterwards

    and also then bug guts would be smeared all over our carpet!
