I saw this 101 Day Project (actually a smaller version of it) on my cousin Gracie’s Xanga once and thought it might be interesting to give it a try. Maybe it’s the New Year’s feeling (though I was never good at making resolutions and in a sense, isn’t this making like 101 resolutions?!), but I’m gonna try for it! I’ve stolen some items from other people’s lists! It was tough thinking up 101 things!!

so a couple of times now, tina has let slip that george is cute and that she likes him 
and now this:
tina: so i just overheard this guy talking in my office, he was saying “george already did it”… at the same time i was just pictureing your george did the thing he was talking about.. i think i’m becoming crazy like u
me:
me: awwwwww
me: that’s so cute!! you think of george at work!
me: even i don’t do that
tina: haha.. i’m worried.. now everytime i see george i feel like he’s real…
awww… george’s got a fan!!
i took another week off of work this year for my own “winter break”… it’s kind of nice to get a whole week off even if i’m not doing anything and is a “waste” of my oh-so-precious vacation hours.
went home on the 23rd and we opened presents… lots of fun for me this year ’cause i was excited to see my family’s reaction to their gifts…
there was lots of yummy food eaten… first my mom’s handrolls, then dinner at the mei’s… and then not-so-yummy food cooked by my sister and i….
helped out “teaching” the chinese school kiddies with ann… on the way home we drove past HUGE HUGE houses… i’m talking HUGE!!
ann also took some fun pictures of my sister baking cookies and my dad making faces and of the cool sky that evening…
got to see high school friends, hanging out at cosi’s and then eating at tandoori nights…
chubacca came to visit! waited for her new years eve and then ate dinner (ribs made with ann’s bbq sauce from austin!!) and goofed off at home. at the last minute, rushed over to MD just in time to stop by my parents’ house (where 1824198918191 chinese parents were partying it up!) and mariam’s house… where we played pictionary against a bunch of cheaters!! mariam and jason claimed that since they were at a disadvantage number-wise, that they should get extra points for simply getting it. we disagreed but really, who disagrees with mariam? here’s an example of what happened…. it was jason’s turn to draw (and it wasn’t even a tough one! they end up taking 192891891 minutes trying to no avail… shruti tried to draw it to see if mariam would have better luck, but nope… mariam still didn’t get it. finally, i drew… try to guess!
drawing 1: tall, tall person standing next to normal size people… with a volleyball (the volleyball is key)
drawing 2: circle around the tall, tall person and then an arrow pointing to a house
drawing 3: a large movie screen with a projector projecting a movie onto it
finally mariam got it! (pride and prejudice!) and they reward themselves with 2 points or something insane like that! it wasn’t even their team doing the work, it was our team drawing for them!!!
then it was our turn to draw and chubacca draws something like this:
such cheaters!!! they also cheated by ripping up perfectly good (and possible) words… like president millard fillmore, purple monkey dishwasher and syriana! sore losers!! 
unfortunately, my computer died so i have not uploaded the pictures off my camera yet to post here…
back at work now
