monkey nonsense

i heard on the radio today that may 10th is national clean up your room day!

i did some googling and it seems, although it is called “national,” there really is no formal declaration of national clean up your room day. this is good i guess i would like to clean up my room a little maybe?

incidentally, may 10th is also george’s “birthday.” it is the date that my mom told me is the day she bought george. i seriously doubt she remembers what date she bought george (though i do know he was purchased in 1980)… i think she just randomly made up a date when i was bugging her about his birthday. hrm… i wonder why she chose may 10th.
