talida pointed out that we’ve accumulated a bunch of sporting goods. i’ve never been very active… it’s too much work, i hate moving around and i don’t want to risk getting hit in the head or any other injuries. but yeah… hanging out with sports-loving friends has definitely affected me.
i think in general i pick up other people’s habits very easily. for example:
- playing sports – lately, i’ve been playing outside nearly every day! or at least it feels like that. see talida’s entry about how crazy we’ve become buying sporting goods
- watching sports – i started watching football after one semester of algo with sunya. i started watching baseball ever since tina moved to the area.
- language/words – i started saying bah all because of ricardo. even tho i was the one who “invented” dangshoot (i said it ONCE), it was angela who said it so much that it started becoming part of my vocabulary.
- “food” habits – i started eating popcorn excessively (hey, it’s a great dinner) because of talida. cindy gets partial blame for this for originally introducing me to hurricane popcorn, but talida’s the one who reintroduced me to it and who keeps buying fancy popcorn which i feel compelled to eat!
- tv shows – i started watching alias because of psycho. i started watching veronica mars because of julie. i started watching 24 because of my parents and tina.
- music – i started liking toxic because of nicole. before that, i hated britney.
- playing nerdy games – i never liked thinking games. NEVER. my motto was always “don’t think, just do.” i’ve started enjoying nerdy games such as settlers all because of the nerdy people i live with.
i blame all my friends for the way i am today.
