i can breeeeeeeathe!!
ever since i was a kid, i’ve had a problem with breathing while sleeping. if i lie too level on the bed, my nose will start to stuff up and i can’t breathe.
when i was a kid, i used to stack all my stuffed animals (sorry george) on top of my pillow to elevate my head more. i tried vicks vapor run… no good. those vicks sticks that smell so strong… just temporary relief. my parents even took me to a doctor during one particularly annoying stretch of not being able to breathe. the doctor recommended some nasal spray… that didn’t work.
over the years, i’ve gotten used to tossing and turning at night to breathe… that seems to help (someone also told me something like if you’re sleeping on your left, it’s likely the left nostril is the blocked one and if you simply flip to the other side, that the nostril will clear up (and vice versa)? eh… some times it works). i also some times sleep with my mouth open so i can breathe through it, tho that dries my mouth and throat a lot. then there’s always sitting up. i think my breathing problem is the reason why i actually will sit up in the middle of the night and sometimes, because i’m half a sleep, end up changing the direction of my head.
in any case, yesterday night, while at CVS picking up some other stuff, i saw breathe right! they’re these band-aid like strips you put on the nose and it’s supposed to clear the nasal passages. they’re supposed to help with snoring, sinus, and allergies. i remember wanting to get them for my dad (a big snorer) but then thought perhaps they might help my own sleeping problems!
they did!!!!
i love breathe right! (or the CVS equivalent!) anyone else with nose sleeping problems, i highly recommend it! i wonder if it helps with snoring… i’ll try on my dad

haha… actually, billy’s been using those because he keeps me up with his snoring. we’ve found that they work better some nights than others. maybe depends on if you put it on properly? i don’t know…

awesome, its important to be able to breath. you know, to stay alive and stuff. i dont know what i would do if i couldnt sleep at night because of that. i’m amazed that those things work, i was always kind of skeptical. maybe i should suggest them to my dad.
