interesting cnn article about whether or not you can tell if someone is gay from the way they walk. a grad student is doing research into this by having people walk around with red lights on them in the dark and recording their strides. because all you see is their outline and stride, you’re not biased by any other things that might give you clues as to their sexual orientation. he theorizes that your sexual orientation is as basic as your stride which can’t really be chosen/changed, supporting the nature side of the nature vs. nurture argument.
take a look at the videos and see if you can figure out who’s gay or not (answers available too) - http://www.cnn.com/2007/HEALTH/06/26/sexuality/index.html
i wasn’t able to load all the videos so i haven’t really watched them to see how accurate i am. but it’s kind of interesting… just today, on my way into work, i saw this girl walking in front of me in a skirt and i couldn’t help but feel that the way she was walking seemed more like a guy than a girl. i didn’t realize until that moment that guys have a certain bounce in their step and girls walk their own certain way… i wonder whether gay/straight also impacts your stride.

Yes it is interesting research. Gay people have always known they were born this way. It is innate, inborn, unchangable, and a God given part of who they are. We are just waiting for science to catch up to what we already know. Gay people usually know since they were young children, I’ve known since I was about 7 years old, but didn’t know what the word gay was. Never heard of it.
CNN has been running articles on the ability to change featuring gays and so called “ex-gays”. Just for the record, there is NO such thing as an ex-gay. Does not exist. Every gay person knows it. Religion and wanting to fit in with mainstream society is the root of them wanting to change so badly. All you can do is act and pretend and tell yourself you are straight, because of your fear of going to hell and pressures from your conservative families and church members. It is a scary and devasting thought to be disowned from your family and church community for being gay, so you conform, and try to change but it is impossible.
Unless you were bisexual to begin with, you are gay for life. The only people they are fooling are straight people and themselves. They are not fooling gay people. The biology for them to be straight is not there. What they are doing is destructive to what gay people have been fighting for and extremely harmful for young gay kids growing up. They need to be proud of who they are, and live their lives way God intended them to live.
