monkey nonsense

i’m frustrated when i spend more time commenting my code than actually developing it. i’m frustrated when i need to spend 10-15 minutes adding descriptions to variables called “city”, “state”, “zip”, “contactPhone”, etc so that you can tell what they are. if you don’t know what the fuck those variables are, you need to learn how to READ.

i’m frustrated when i waste 3 hours trying to figure out why code works in one scenario but the SAME CODE does not work a second later. it’s not like the page navigated away or anything. you are sitting at the same, EXACT page but just loaded a dynamic context menu. THEN i found out it’s because the fucking application that i use STOPPED PUTTING IN SPACES the second time it read THE SAME PAGE. WHY!?

i’m frustrated because it seems the only challenges at my job is to be able to produce multiple copies (with minor changes) of the same code at a fast rate and to code around the bugs in the application we are end users for. it gets boring and frustrating rather quickly.
