not a tech nerd
a lot of people think i’m a nerd/into technology. but here are some examples proving otherwise!
so my mom’s office uses this new “Secure Drawer” website that allows their clients to “drop” their tax documents online so they can access it from their offices. pretty cool! i tried to use it when i realized it requires silverlight to be installed! i didn’t want that installed on my mac (plus, their website is either out of date or they don’t support osx 10.6) so i told my mom i couldn’t use it because i didn’t own a windows machine. my mom started laughing! because apparently, she’s been making fun of client… “who doesn’t own a single computer with windows on it!?!?!” er… me…
for my sister’s bridal shower, i was trying to figure out ways to play some videos we have… at first, i was like oh! i can just buy an mini-dvi to hdmi adapter and we’re good!! who doesn’t have hdmi!? then i realized what a bad assumption that is… prior to 3 months ago, i didn’t have anything that’d display hdmi and even now… i only have the basement that has hdmi. the rest of my tvs are still clunkers!
my phone uses windows mobile.
