monkey nonsense

got my voicemail forwarding to google mail so i can get emails with a transcript and recording when i get voicemail. this way the mailbox stays clear and i can listen to all my messages easily at work.

but google voice transcription is very hit or miss… (i’ve only gotten one good transcription… from a used car dealer!) AND my parents like to speak chinese/chinglish to me on the phone which makes google even more confused!!

the latest message was the usual… didn’t make much sense… random english words put together. until the end, when it ended very normally with “Thank you. Bye.”

Which I thought was a weird way for my mom to end the message. Like it’s a normal way to end a phone message, but not the way my mom usually does… So I listened to the message and she was saying “da dian hua hui lai” (call home)
